Hoppinger is investing heavily in a cutting edge infrastructure, so if you love innovation and OPS, then we are the place to be for you! As a DevOps Professional you have one mission: facilitate projects by configuring, debugging and monitoring our infrastructure. Thus, each and any activity that is required at an infrastructural level falls under your responsibility. For example: managing a server, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, Active Directory accounts, SSL, DNS, OS server updates, etc. So anything that is required in order to deploy and maintain an application live, without writing code of the application itself, is the task of the DevOps Professional at Hoppinger. In addition to that, you also assist with both financial and organisational tasks around DevOps (pricing, monitoring of usage per customer, on-call services, etc.).
Our goal, together with the DevOps Professional, is to improve and automate DevOps wherever possible. Ultimately, our customers want (high quality) digital solutions, and for this reason we strive towards building with more and more automation and less and less direct management at each iteration of our tools, technologies, and processes.
As a DevOps professional you must strive towards making yourself not needed for your current tasks thanks to automation, so you can spend your time to find improved ways of delivering value both internally and to customers.
DevOps reports to both tech and operations at Hoppinger. The technological reporting refers to solutions adopted and innovations chosen. The operational reporting refers to migrations, pricing, and servicing of existing customers.
